You Don't Know Jack
Meet Jack and learn his story - from a South Korea dog meat farm to his forever home in California. Jack is from a dog meat farm in South Korea. Humane Society International (HSI) shut down the farm in March 2015 and flew all of the dogs to California. From there HSI worked with it's emergency placement partners including Marin Humane Society in Jack's story to house and find homes for the all the South Korea dogs. Today Jack is loving life in northern California and is loved and taken great care of by his family. To support Marin Humane Society visit: MarinHumaneSociety.org/give HSI is working in countries across Asia to end the grisly dog meat trade. We participate in raids on trucks crammed with dogs headed for slaughter. We provide funding to train officials for improved enforcement of laws and support care for confiscated animals. In South Korea, we're helping dog meat farmers transition to more humane ways of making a living. We also helped form the Asia Canine Protection Alliance to end the illegal trade of dogs from Thailand and Laos into Vietnam. By drawing the attention of governments and the public to the cruelty involved in this industry, we hope to put a stop to the misery these dogs endure. Wow...Seriously??? Who clicked dislike for this????

one of my favorite things about this video is how the Humane Society didn't just shut down the meat farm and leave them without jobs, but helped them prosper in a better way, so they can still earn money

It makes me want to adopt a dog but I already have one

So I am just curious. What happens when humans eat meat from a dog who is infected with heartworm? And even if this does not cause disease in humans, obviously hygiene wasn't at the top of that farmer's list. This must be huge health hazard. Yuk.

screw Superman, you guys are real heroes

That's actually really interesting. What if we let inmates see dogs in prison. Granted we'd have to keep an eye on the dogs safety, but we could let them see the dig in reward for good behavior in prison. This could also work for juvenile prison, too.
