superb idea!
my question: Where does the generator is installed in this whole setup? -
I think it would be more attractive if it had a symmetrical shape, like a pine tree perhaps, and more natural coloring. If it did I would be very interesting in buying one.
-
im in Florida, are these hurricane tested?
-
Very wonderful! Do you have plans to sell in Japan? I would like to purchase and spread it!
-
it's a step in the right direction , you could put probably 50 in the space of the ugly ones and it would look better
-
Super

Love it!!!!!

IF you want to make it by yourself just go to InpliX page.

I wonder how well the prototypes have held up to weather, severe cold/heat, debris, etc.

Wind Tree: I call energy B.S. on this one! It must be a hoax, the math is so poor.
I have found people have a poor feel for energy and power. The wind
tree goes to show you ignorant people are on this topic. Wind power is
proportional to the area the blades cover and the air speed cubed. So
faster winds are beneficial since the energy converted is a cube
function of the wind speed. (goes back to Bernoulli'ss law)
(P = 1/2 ρ A v3 ) A 20% increase in wind velocity - increases power generation by 73%
Another video claims the said tree can produce enough power to power a car
1.6km in a year... Using the 2013 Nissan Leaf's 29 kWh/100m you get 464
Wh. So using the car example to back out the power generation you get a
paltry 0.525 kWh.
If one has any feel for power, the thing can't even run one light bulb.
Using a wind energy calculator, assuming 100% conversion efficiency, a
7.2 km wind and assuming the wind tree blades have a effective 1 square
meter of area then it would generate 0.38 Watt of power, or enough to
power 1/263 th of one 100W light bulb! -
Cover each turbine (and the trunk) with flexible solar cells and you have power when there's no wind.

Sir please give your contact information for it installed in india
-
My right ear enjoyed this.

I'm all for clean energy, 100%... but this is absolutely ridiculous, the concept, design, functionality, and over all appearance is just asinine on every design level.

Brilliant

Some jackass kid will find a way to climb it and get killed. Then Mom will sue because her kid was stupid.

Yes, let's sink even more money in a make believe bullshit sob story because that worked out so well for wind turbines. Instead of appointing more research towards actually find an ECOnomic solution.
Bravo, standing ovations. -
wow, using oil to create plastics that create minuscule amounts of energy....AMAZING
