This paper reviews the barriers and challenges faced by Malaysia in assessing the potential of the wind as a viable renewable energy source. It also highlights the industry-political inflicted status quo on fossil fuels dominance in the power generation mix in Malaysia amid the technical challenges of developing wind energy.
