"Why I love Agriculture" Sarah Robertson RIRDC Horizon Scholar - MelbUni (Sponsor GRDC)

Sarah Robertson is part of the Horizon Scholarship program and is studying a Bachelor of Agricultural Science at the University of Melbourne. She is sponsored in the program by the Grains Research and Development Corporation Sarah hopes to become an agronomist specialising in rice growing and marketing in the Riverina in southern New South Wales. During Sarah's gap year in 2012, she worked with several agronomist firms assisting in the monitoring of over 7,000 acres of rice. Sarah would also like to pursue research into water management, nutrient efficiencies, weed management and pest control.
