West Lancashire Light Railway Summer Gala 2013
Had a very enjoyable day at The West Lancashire Light Railways Summer Steam Gala on 10th August 2013. Resident locomotives Montalban, Utrillas, and Joffre were joined by guests Hudswell Clark CSR 19 and Hunslet saddle tank Sybil Mary from The Statfold Barn Railway. All the locomotives were immaculately turned out and worked both Passenger and Freight trains. Great Locomotives and meeting up with good friends, and Good weather. What more could I ask for? Many thanks to everyone at The West Lancashire Light Railway for all that the hard work put in making this such a great Gala. One of the best ever Gala videos I've ever watched. (I'm so glad that you don't pan your shots, it's the way of professionals - but so hard to resist!)
A lovely encapsulation of what the WLLR is all about and the dream of those schoolboys from so, so long ago. Thanks for the memory tug!

Next in line for restoration is Bagnall saddletank Sybil. Cheetal was on show at the Gala and is on loan from Leeds Museums and Galleries and is awaiting restoration.

Another enjoyable event Tommy, I still haven't managed to get to one of their steam events yet. Nice cavalcade at the end.
