Honeyville and Thrive are much better brands.

I love Augson Farm

I haven't tried my Auguson stuff yet, but I've eaten the Bear Creek. That stuff makes me feel crappy, indigestion, full of salt. I have a few bags of that stuff that will probably get thrown away. Mre's even play better with my system.

you would buy your kids food from China? you really need to know what you eat.

I keep using the powdered eggs and they keep going up in price and the powdered Honey is Yum I like using it when I make Greek yogurt, Medford's selection sucks though.

I'm a single guy (with a dog), so my needs are substantially different from those of you with families. I've been to a bunch of sites for these kinds of products and there's almost nothing for people like me. That is, unless I want to spend a huge amount of time and money on bags, absorbers, heat sealers and all the rest. I guess I'm stuck with Mountain House and MRE's. I have no idea what I'm going to do for my dog. Any ideas?

Instead of mylar bags, consider Mason Jars. If you figuring a long term scenario you need to transition to growing your own food. If you grow your own food, you need to be able to can it. So as you use up your stores, you free up Mason Jars for canning. It would be a good idea to stockpile some replacement lids (30 cents each) to ensure a safe canning seal.

I want basic food stores, instead of teriaki, stroganoff, odd meals.
