Vietnamese American Business Owner Succeeding in Vietnam.
Eating in Saigon is a wonderful experience, but with Vietnamese food on a daily basis, restaurants like Skewers help me and many other expats and visitors get a taste of home. Western food is plentiful in Saigon, but none are like this place. I've actually eaten many times here before meeting the chef and owner from Southern California, Tristan Ngo. In this video, we sit down with him and chat a bit about his experiences in Vietnam and in business. Then we ate some food including clam chowder and meat loaf. When you're in town, be sure to visit Skewers at 9 Thai Van Lung, District 1. http://www.skewers-restaurant.com/ -------------------------------------------------- About Me: I'm Kyle Le and I live, travel, and eat in Vietnam and many Asian countries. looking at her dishes, pasta and yours, mashed potato, peas and gravy over the meatloaf..., dude, that's a nursing home weekly menu

Like this video and the owner speaks great English and has great attitude. I've seen all Bizzare Foods episodes. Looking forward to see this one. Your plate reminds me of Black-eyed Peas food but fancier atmosphere. Lol. I like to mix it up like you, Kyle. Here in Texas we got food pretty much from all nationalities. So it's very good, diverse, and educational.

smashed potato is actually from a bag indeed. Then we mix it with milk and stuff. That's how my mom makes it too. I don't think you are eating the real stuff buddy ;-)
-
Funny thing at the end is that he keeps saying kylele.net without saying the restaurant name, where is it at... Lol

Great videos! I'm going to be spending all Feb backpacking from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh. I love to watch your channel and get excited about my trip. I hope I can track down a few of these great restaurants you've featured. Maybe not this one though :) Keep up the good work!

Keith Andres, I've never heard of anyone renting a bigger CC bike. I'm sure it's possible to locals and for film purposes, not sure about anyone renting a Ninja out
-
How much does it cost to rent a motorbike like the one you crashed in Vietnam? Thank you.

Good questions asked. The restaurant is so American looking. Chowder bowl, we know that in San Francisco ;) Yeah, you have to have American food sometimes.
