This is a short clip from the presidential palace grounds in Hanoi, and the changing of the guard at Ho Chi Minhs grave. Ho Chi Minh, AKA "Uncle Ho", is portrayed like a god in north Vietnam, yet between he and his successors, many millions of Vietnamese perished, especially during the "land reform" era., and after the US pullout in 1975. Many Vietnamese do not agree with the "image" that is portrayed of Uncle Ho. Ho Chi Minh wanted to be cremated, "to save precious farmland", but his successors did not listen to his wishes, and put him in a tomb. When we were there, his body was actually not in the tomb, and out some where being "refurbished". Crazy stuff!
