Vanderfield and Sunrice hosted a information day on the new John Deere planter purchased by Sunrice. This 3m planter will be loaned to growers who wish to plant rice in the Proserpine and Mackay region. Rice is the new crop for cane growers providing a cash crop for fallow land. About 29 growers and contractors attended to hear information from Antony Vagg of Sunrice.
