The Ukujima Mega Solar Park has an approved capacity of 480 MWp (DC). The power plant will be connected via high voltage submarine cable to the electricty grid at Ainoura S/S which is approximately 65 km away. The project has a positive environmental impact and is compatible with agriculture through farming and breeding cattle under a specially designed agri-solar systems which is helping among others to revitalise over 200 ha of abandoned farmland and create additional employment and economic growth for the island.
