U.S. OKs China's SANY group to buy 4 wind power projects in Oregon
Recently, SANY, a leading company of China's heavy machinery manufacturing, has reached a compromise with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, or CFIUS, over an investment dispute to buy four wind power projects in Oregon. This marks a further step for SANY to expand the overseas market. In 2012, the intended deal by Ralls Corp., a subsidiary of China's SANY group in America, was blocked by President Obama and CFIUS because the wind farms were too close to a military facility.
