A few months ago I took one of the most memorable journeys of my life...the beautiful train from Nuwara Eliya to Ella, Sri Lanka. Here's a 9 minute video showing the beautiful scenery which winds through the many tea plantations and verdant mountains. Oh yeah, the soundtrack is amazing too.

The high Hill Country of Sri Lanka is totally different from the hot, sweaty lowlands. Note, if you please, the Tasmanian Snow Gum trees which are partly responsible for the country suffering less from flooding during the wettest seasons.
