Coffee production in Vietnam is under pressure because of looming water scarcity exacerbated by climate change. In response, Nestle and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation funded an awareness raising movie on rational water use. 1 billion cubic meters of water can be saved in the Central Highlands, if all Vietnamese Robusta farmers would reduce irrigation per tree per round from the traditional 1,000 liters to just 400 liters.
