Hi guys, I'm Karen and this is the Run List. Okay, so I enjoy a good theme park. Back when I was in Australia, I loved going to Warner Brother's Movie World and also Dream World at the Gold Coast. I mean, it's fun to see characters dressed up, and get your adrenaline pumping on those crazy rides. In China, theme parks are hugely popular too. At the end of this year, they're planning to open up their version of Orlando, with what would be 10 theme parks on a 2,000 acre resort. Of course, we've seen some wacky stuff coming out of China, and theme parks are no different. Here's a look at 6 pretty strange theme parks you can come across in China if you're there. Number 6: Bruce Lee Paradise Park. The iconic martial artist is forever memorialized, in his own paradise no less, at this park in Guangong province. Officials here chose the village where Lee's father was born, and invested almost 160 million dollars so they could cash in on Lee's legacy. Would you expect to find attractions that have to do with Kung Fu? Well, not quite. There is a vegetable farm though, and a science museum. Number 5: World Joyland This one may be for you gamers out there. World Joyland is somewhat like Disney Land, but there are two sections inspired by these games, World of Warcraft and Star Craft. Even their official website loads up like a game. Interesting enough, even though the characters and features you'd find here are so similar to characters in WOW and Star Craft, Blizzard Entertainment, who owns those games, have no affiliation with World Joyland. Number 4: Window of the World Want to visit the world, but only have a few days to spend in Shenzhen, in southern China? Well, you're in luck. The Shenzhen Window of the World theme park will let you see many of the world's icons in just one place. They're miniature of course. But whether it's Rome's Coliseum, the Eiffel Tower or Mount Rushmore, snap a few photos around here and you can say you've been around the world. Number 3: The Beijing Shijingshan Amusement Park Never liked Minnie or Donald Duck? Well, what if they're called Girl Cat and Duck? That's right, if you come here, you'll see a lot of familiar faces, but not quite so familiar names. This theme park has been dubbed by some as the Copyright Infringement Place. There's dumbo right there, oh wait, it's just an "Elephant Ride". Number 2: Empire of the Little People. Some will find this theme park distasteful and discriminating. It's basically a theme park that showcases little people, in Kunming, Yunnan province. It's like a commune here. They have an emperor, and empress and a parliament. If you visit, you'll see dwarfs dressed up and parading around, and they live in mushroom homes. Hm, some of the dwarfs have said they like it here...but to me, it is pretty bizarre and exploitative. Number 1: A Chinese Theme Park, but in the land down under That's right, a shire in Australia is planning to build a Chinese themed amusement park. It will feature a full size replica of the gates to the Forbidden City and a panda section for children, but without any real pandas. The shire hopes to appeal to Chinese tourists with the construction of this park, but really, wouldn't Chinese people just go see China...in China? In any case, this amusement park is set to start construction in 2015 in the State of New South Wales. Well, what did you guys think? Would you go to a Chinese-themed park in Australia? What about going to Paradise to see Bruce Lee? What about some strange theme parks or rides you've been on? Let us know in the comments section below and check out these other videos.
