The Willow Pattern Story
A beautiful princess an evil suitor, and the hapless palace guard - all feature in this charming re-telling of the classic story, depicted on Willow pattern china across the world. This short animation, by children at a two day animation workshop with filmmaker Alastair Nisbet at Dorchester Arts, is a re-telling of the centuries-old story of the Willow Pattern. It has been regularly shown at Sydney Observatory in Australia where an archaeology project uncovered many fragments of Willow Pattern from the early years of the city's development.
