Great Vlog! Mae Sa Long is just awsome! regarding the Nissan Almera, as the Thai Amera is only fitted with 1.2 engine, it is not a good choice for Northern Thai hilly terrain, especially with 4 adult passengers (with a dog..of course). I would say at least a 1.5L car could be a better option... and FYI here in Malaysia all the Almera come with 1.5 engine aand I am quite certain our market are unable to accept a 1.2 Almera. :)
-
Nothing in this video comes close to suggest an uphill struggle. You're living well compared to the average Thai. Maybe living high on the hog. Title is very misleading. But I like the scenery so I won't give you a thumbs down.

i love you guys....i love how 'in love' you seem....i love how much you love thailand (becasue i love it too!!) ....and i love how much you love your woofer eden...i feel so happy when i watch your videos...i often catch my reflection on my screen and i'm nearly always smiling....thankyou so much.
-
Hi from Cambodia! Lovin' your cool videos. Will hit your part of the world for sure. You've definitely opened my eyes to Thailand.Eden is cute and adorable.Animals rule, period.
Yes, dogs role in shit...but it's people who talk shit :) -
Nissan Almera is coming with a different engine capacity in different market, in Thailand it been couple with a 1.2 L engine to meet the Thailand eco vehicle tax structure. In Malaysia is is come with a 1.5 L engine.
-
Great scenery. No surprise that 1.2 auto came to a standstill. Fine for someone going to work & back in Bangkok every day, but you're asking a lot of it. Good thinking to turn off the a/c and remove any alternator load, quite a drag between them on that small engine. A pity there are not yet many diesel cars readily available for rent in Thailand.
-
When I heard that "the Almera cannot go up but our old car could" I rightaway said to myself "auto vs manual gearbox issues" but maybe I am wrong haha
That 12:58 shot was outstanding!! I wanted to see more of that.
And as for the too many bugs... I assume the geckos' population is low over there, right?
I personally dislike geckos and I really hope I don't see many when I will be visiting north Thailand. -
It seems that most of your vlogs deal with you either drinking coffee or eating. Is that all you do in Thailand?
-
thx for sharing, can you give us costs as you eat at these places on your next vid plz?
would be good to know what the costs are per day on things you do, eat and see. :-) -
Make sure mother doesn't get that booby pot painting lol
Is the car automatic ? -
You travel around a lot by car. Wondering what happens if you have a break down in the middle of nowhere there? IN the west we are lucky as a call out breakdown will come to anywhere. so just wondered.
-
Good day to you two! I subscribed a few weeks ago to your channel and have enjoyed many of your vlogs! My wife and I are thinking of retiring in Thailand (many years from now) but will be traveling there in the next 2 years to scope it out. We are always looking for insight into pricing for foods, hotels, any living rentals..ect. You show many great hotels, delicious meals and your farm house looks so peaceful and inviting. Would you consider in future vlogs to throw in a few prices? I would be grateful if you mentioned pricing for some of the individual things you share with all of us. Thanks and always be safe in your journeys!

Loving your fathers Brooklyn T-Shirt.

Looked like you were the only ones there again at Manee Dheva. Agree khao soy needs to be in the North...I am a bit lazy though delicious as it is, I am a bit lazy though chicken on the bone! ha ha
-
The North is alot more seasonal weather wise than the rest of the country, more distinct temperatures too. It can be so tranquil as you've just shown upcountry away from the main roads. I've stayed at Phu Chaisai but recent reports seem to say it needs a renovation. Many thanks :-)
-
That was a very beautiful place <3
I love when it's rainning in Thailand, it reminds me the tropical season of my native island :)
Thanks for sharing and looking forward for the next video :) -
