The story of Rooibos - the production process
Shows the stages of producing Rooibos tea from the planting of seeds to harvesting, the processing of the cuttings and finally the packing and distribution of this extraordinary product. Running time: 4min 15sec Rooibos is fermented and dried in sunlight, on large concrete drying floors. These floors are protected from sand and dust blowing in by raised sides and, in many instances, wind screens. The Rooibos is then transported to the processing facility, where it undergoes a sifting process to remove any foreign material. The processed final product is then steam sterilised. A comprehensive quality control system is also in place, with several tests (including by independent laboratory), to ensure that the Rooibos you receive is of the highest quality.

And if you're hunting springbuck on a very cold winter's day in the Karoo, take along a flask of Rooibos tea to which you've added a stiff tot of Stroh rum - It improves your aim!

Recently, I begin to drink Rooibos tea. It tastes like black tea which I couldn't settled down because of caffeine. I'm very vulnerable to caffeine thus, I was looking for any alternative tea without it. Any way I think it's nice to choose having rooibos everyday and I also recommend you guys Fennel tea which is very helpful for someone having stomach and intestinal problems like me. After having rooibos and fennel, my digestion problems are almost relieved. Thanks.

It's a nice alternative to regular tea. Good for later in the day when caffeine should be avoided.

Recently found a tea mixture of 96% rooibos, 4% vanilla... it's the BEST tea ever.

I love this tea with a hint of vanilla.

why are you drying it in the graund? maybe earth and sand mixing in it?
-
I agree with the goodness of rooibos but the way they dried on ground with dust and truck driving around looks unpleasing.
