The famous Tea Hotel in Kenya
http://www.freshstartstore.com During the 1950's the legendary Tea Hotel was built in Kericho by Brooke Bond as a kind of colonial clubhouse for British expatriates in Kenya. Years later the hotel was bought by locals. It is now run as a luxury hotel. The scenery is lush with flower gardens. Native birds and monkeys can be seen from the veranda. It is a charming place with a well worn post war Britain feel.

It seems to be wearing well, lovely grounds. I remember walking over the foundations with my father when it was being built. My boxer pup Snuffles went into residence with the first hotel manager. Dad may also have designed/commissioned Holy Trinity Church, in his role as chairman of Brooke Bond East Africa. Must try to visit soon.
