The Devastating Effects of Pollution in China (Part 1/2)
We went to the single most polluted place on earth, the coal-mining town of Linfen in Shanxi Province, China, where kids play in dirty rivers and the sun sets early behind a thick curtain of smog. The irony is that will all the smog solar panels will take a while to work :D

The problem is overpopulation, not lifestyle. if you had a small population, you could light your trash on fire, have 5 hummers in the driveway, all the material possessions you could handle. Shit you could probably use coal then. But people keep procreating like fucking retards would if they could. The problem is numbers, not style, so fuck off with your austerity measures and keep your dick in your pants!

These people are just fucking stupid! Doesn't a nation as big and established as China know that coal is toxic? They're killing themselves and polluting the world. What, no nuclear energy? And another thing, STOP BREEDING! Didn't their government impose a 2 child limit on Chinese parents? And if you say that's not right, I'm gonna smack ya!

thats why china is claiming the islands near the Philippines..pfffttt

And people call London the big smoke...

way to go world for destroying this planet fast and uncaring about life itself
-
perfect song to play. black lips are the bomb. it's terrible to see all this. I hope our generation becomes cleaner in the ways of waste. I would've just brought a couple gas masks
-
coal is bad. oil too. if oil and coal got bad enough, the world could immediately stop using coal and oil and it would dissipate in several decades, but nuclear waste from all forms of nuclear power stays for millions of years. it causes genetic damage that could manifest itself if not directly to the affected, then in anyone's family tree. nuclear power is the biggest threat facing humanity and nature. polar bears are having still births because of a nuclear meltdown that happened thousands of miles across the pacific. its in our ecosystem now but the world still champions nuclear power.

how many ppl here per year are being diagnosed with lung cancer and respitory problems?

Wonder why there are many Chinese people all over the world? Because of this shit
-
Now in 2016 this environment is quite cleaner

Not only that, Chinese people are always behaving badly when in other countries. My mom went to the bathroom for only a few seconds and some inpatient Chinese guy started knocking at the door. My mom works as a singer at a pub.

29% of the pollution in the Bay Area (Silicon Valley) comes from China :(
-
Disgrace to Chinese people!
-
Um food covered in heavy pollution is definitely worse then eating processed food.
-
Linfen is in a basin, so the air cannot flow well....
Unlike the rest of Chinese pollution-creators who, situated outside of basins, can send their pollution into the wind where it flows to other countries.... -
This is what happened to Europe and USA some decades ago. Remember the book Silent Spring? I wouldn't assert that this situation is historically necessary but maybe pollution always comes along with economic development. I hope the government can regulate the waste effluence more strictly, however it is not fair to say that Peking cares only about money. Also this documentary is only showing the most severely polluted area in China. It is not a representative image of the environment throughout the country. Guys, pls try to be more subjective.
