Kenya's position as the number one tea exporter, is threatened by increased incidents, of farmers hawking green leaf to merchants. The worst affected are factories neighbouring private estates in Kericho, and Kisii. Factory managers say, the occurrence, which is gaining popularity across the country, is likely to affect their processing capacity, and undermine exports. Denis Otieno toured Gachege tea factory in Thika, and brings you the following report.
