Tea culture 100 years ago. In Indonesia?
An old Pathé short on tea plantations. Apparently they thought it unimportant to mention the country in which the film was taken. Foreign countries were all one and the same to viewers apparently. My guess from the head dresses is that it was filmed in Indonesia. Sumatra possibly.

It should be in Preanger Highlands. Maybe in southern Bandung.

0:27 Definitely in Java, based on the pattern on her Kebaya.

Wow, they are using quite advance machinery at that time, really awesome clip.

Yes, it would stand to reason that the short was filmed in french territory. Yet, the hairdress and the sarongs suggest Indonesia. Also the face in close-up. I'll await other viewers comments before correcting. Thanks anyhow.

I have an extract from this footage in a Pathescope film called "Tropical Regions", where it states that it was filmed in Indo-China.
