Pressure continues to mount for the reorganization of the Kenya Tea Development Authority over farmers uprooting the crop in parts of the country. Although the Tea Board of Kenya has rushed to KTDAs defense, some quarters are calling for the delinking of the two, and an audit of the KTDA. And in the middle of all the public mudslinging are desperate farmers, stricken by unfavourable returns and a restrictive law that outlaws uprooting tea bushes.
