Taxi to the Grave?
Taxi operators in some parts of Nairobi claim they are now an endangered species following a series of murder targeting them while on duty. According to their own statistics an average of two taxi drivers are being killed every week. Operators especially those plying Westlands routes now want the government to intervene. And as Michael Njenga found out the carjackers posing as customers have been targeting particular car models which they take to a tea plantation in Tigoni, Limuru where the stolen vehicle is dismantled and vandalized.
