Capitalism and doing business with developed nations aren't going to change. What we need to do is to improve our own markets against the competition, albeit putting limits on how much we import is a sensible approach. We need to guard against erecting barriers as a means to solving our economically, and societal issues. I see all countries as potential partners, and with each having something different to offer. We need to be smarter, not more isolated.

More of Haiti's agricultural treasures "resources" need to be exported abroad as well as transported to Port au Prince and nearby villages or towns. Haiti can sustain itself if and when market prices come down and imports from the U.S. are eliminated.
