Interview with Stephen Gleeson, Managing Director, Essential Oils about the first luxury fragrance from the company. Shield says Tina Arena is helping capture the smell of Tas. She questions listeners what they would say the smell of Tas is, lavender, apples, Huon Pine, salty air off Bass Strait. Gleeson says Essential Oils of Tasmania has been growing crops all over Tas, they have 20 farms that they contract to. He says they have been growing fennel, parsley and other crops that will be going in to the Tina Arena Fragrance. He says Arena is working with perfumers in France. He says Essential Oils of Tasmania was acquired by Atlas Pearls and Perfumes at the beginning of 2012. He says they have made a pearl perfume and that is coming from pearl farms in Indonesia. He says Arena lives in Paris and Melbourne. He says he was in Hamilton, today. He says he has come from Perth, a large corporate city. He feels Tas is a fantastic place to bring up his family. He says they have brought out Nelson Roshe, Roshe Cosmetics who has joined Atlas.
