Star Apple (Chrysophyllum cainito) Origin: Greater Antilles and the West Indies The Philippines saga continues, this time with a more in depth look at the star apple. Star Apple is one of my most favorite fruit. Sugar Apple is another favorite of mine. Baby Fruit is another fruit that I ate when I was a child and been wanting to eat it. I have been thinking about this fruit ever since I ate it a few times when I was a child. I never knew the name of the fruit. In 2014 I was looking for this fruit and wanting to grow it. Where can I get the seed?

Jared i saw in the video that you are in the cemetery. Where did you picked that star apple?. Where the tree stand, if it grows inside the vicinity of the cemetery im very sure its really taste sweet and milky, because the soil is rich and very fertile.

We have a star apple tree that bears large purple fruits (about as large as a grape fruit, I guess) and they are just about the sweetest ones i have tasted. The ones shown in your video are the small common varieties.

Hi there.. may I ask what is the title of the opening song you're using?
-
it's best to have the smooth (not bruised) ones. They're both good, it's wonderful if you chill them (almost frozen) and put a little of condensed milk. Taste like ice cream. I love them.
-
I just bought one. I can't tell what kind because I haven't opened it and the outside is both green and purple.

My grandfather in the Philippines had several trees of "caimito" trees when I was growing up. Each tree has so many fruits we have to invite the neighbors to come pick as many as they want so not to have too many fruits falling and rotting on the ground. Kids love eating it with iced milk. Some trees only have green ones and some have both. The purple ones are better because they look more yummy.

Yum I've enjoyed both varieties in Jamaica
