Sri Lanka,ශ්රී ලංකා,Ceylon,Kandy Town:Visit of a covered market (02)
Speed visit of a covered market square in Kandy: (This is a quick overview to show the entire complex in a rush). Kandy Town infos: (Sinhala: මහ නුවර maha nuvara, pronounced [mahaˈnuʋərə]; Tamil: கண்டி kaṇṭi, pronounced [ˈkaɳɖi]) is the English name for the city of Maha Nuvara (Senkadagalapura) in the centre of Sri Lanka. It was the last capital of the ancient kings' era of Sri Lanka. The city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is one of the most scenic cities in Sri Lanka; it is both an administrative and religious city. It is the capital of the Central Province (which encompasses the districts of Kandy, Matale and Nuwara Eliya) and also of Kandy District. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa) one of the most venerable places for the Buddhist community of Sri Lanka and all around the world. It was declared by the UNESCO has a world heritage in 1988. (Wikipedia)

@IMSSC20 My relation to this island is a Crescendo. The first moments I thought.. "wow.. this a a bit tough and run down".. (Especially when a foreigner arrives at Colombo and has to first discover the road between the airport and the city center). We are far away from the "Old Ceylon Romantic Postcard view". But every hour my vision evolved and I have more friends there then in any other part of the world. Also it takes time to discover all the natural treasures. A good tour is a fine option.

@NickVenture1 - Agreed Nick! I have actually been there three times already. Once when my wife and I were married, then again with my mother and about four years ago when my son turned 2 years old. Each time, I get more and more comfortable with the way of life there and I definitly enjoy the culture and sights in and out of the cities and rural areas alike! I love it! :)

@IMSSC20 If you have a small+stable revenue or some good savings abroad you can have a good life in Sri Lanka. Depending on how much you need for your living. I think it is possible to live very well if you get 350 to 500 USD per month from abroad. I think that even 300 dollars are enough to just live fine there.
