I love PV... though they are expensive, they also are the best renewable and alternative source of energy!
-
i wonder when oil is gone and money are gone who is going to fix and mantain those instalations?
smart one dho.i have to study that furder.intresting. -
Even with Free PV and batteries, solar power is too expensive. CSP is worse!

Let me know what you think.
By the way, did you know germany's and japan are turning more coal power plants to power the void left by nuclear? Where's solar and wind if it's so good?

Where can I find the full documentary?

Cool for desert areas but can you include the mirror inside the tube and make the tubes smaller. So I can run them across my roof like the panels can.
-
Does it contaminate the atmosphere?!
-
Do you use a powerchair but are tired of the restrictions on range Well you can easily turn that restriction into a historial footnote for as little as $300.00 (not to me, but for the supplies needed)... After 5 weeks and several hundred miles of runtime, we still have yet to need the power companey to recharge.ABOUTSOLARCELLS.COMXA.COM

“Alternative Energies at School” is a research project that seeks to establish the thematic and methodological parameters for a curriculum in the area of technology focused entirely on the renewable energies.

Spain has built the best Solar power station design. They use the mirrors to heat up molten salt and pump it into a large heat store it can produce power for 15 hours AFTER the sun has gone down. Meaning it is a 24hour operation.

This is massive scale, and can probably replace conventional power plant in the future.

Nantenna is more efficient.

Look into Star Scientific Limited. Looks like they have the most efficient form of energy, Muon Catalyzed fusion.

Google Is Building the World's Largest Solar Tower Power Plant April-12-2011--- Google is investing $168 million to help develop a solar energy power plant in California's Mojave Desert. In cooperation with Brightsource energy, Google's official blog states that the new plant will hopefully generate 392 gross megawatts of solar power, or "the equivalent of taking more than 90,000 cars off the road over the lifetime of the plant,"
-
@seriousbusinessinc a 50MW power plant would be installed on 678 acres of land making it economically unfeasable unless u have a huge desert at throw away prices...(plus cost of infrastructure is high as these mirrors have to be imported from germany/isreal )

People all across the united states are installing home solar electric systems. The government doesn't have to fund it, people buy it with a credit card and call an installer. The systems are an investment, but cost study will show that it's a great investment as a home improvement. Recently we started using rooftop wind turbines with our solar for hybrid energy system for homes. Solar and wind power is yours for the taking.. WHY PAY SOMEONE FOR YOUR WIND & SUN, harvest it yourself and save
-
Wow, that's amazing but there should be wind energy combined there with the solar. All our best systems are hybrid energy with both wind and solar.
-
@seriousbusinessinc Because according to the people who have money this isn't profitable... At least not as profitable as drilling a hole in the ground and collecting the oil and gas.
