Smallest Dog in the World!
Smallest Dog in The World, Her name is Hope, shes 4 months old and she is a poodle. She weighed 31 grams at birth and now she is over 4 months old weighing 11 ounces.. The world record 2 lbs , our vet says she will be lucky to hit 13 ounces;-) She is born with dwarfisim and usualy they do not survive past 48 hours.. but she's a fighter and look at her today ;-) Hope's next video will be posted on August 10th 2013. Ok, I understand it's easy to look and judge BUT, I owned a dog this size. They get hurt incredibly easy, in ways you would not guess for a normal dog. The world is really large for regular small breeds but it is ginormous for a dog with dwarfism. We were fortunate to have our dwarf Pomeranian, Minka, for seven years. She was plagued by seizures due to low blood sugar, had her front legs broken by a toddler falling on her, and lost multiple teeth even though we brushed her teeth. Her full grown weight was 11 ounces. I never let her around many people due to her size and fear of her getting injured or killed, especially after leaving her with my mother when she was injured by my nephew in the yard. It's a reality you quickly realize when owning a dog this size, don't judge- her cage is like a large room to her and I am sure she gets plenty of free range running room in there.
