Hi great show as usual, the problem with agriculture in the tropics is mostly himan made. I live in Trinidad, it is almost impossible for a person to get agricultural land from the government, unless you pay a bribe to get the land. Otherwise land is outsied the cost of most individuals. Seeds are a next difficulty as they only want a mono culture of plants etc, which is just to show you the thinking. 40 years ago everyone had chickens in thier yards now no one does as it has become illegal. Go figure. Wish I lived in the US

This video was amazing. I moved to the Central Pacific Manuel Antonio of Costa Rica almost a year ago and am interested in doing this when we move into our new house. Can I ask you about costs? What kind of start up costs are there to something like this? I think I can probably find a permaculture expert here in CR, and I'm guessing its best to consult with and plan out everything and add t oit over time....but what would be ongoing costs associated with something like this?
all I want to do is grow enough food to feed two people regularly. -
Where did Wade get certified for Permaculture? I'm interested

For healthy soil an plants use rock phosphate.

The reality about this kind of farming is that it takes A LOT of money!!!

Sure, Permaculture works in Hawaii, but can it work anywhere? The answer is "Yes" and, it is.
Just search your area, you might be surprised that there's someone already doing it near you. -

question: do you earn any income by doing these videos?
-
John, you are getting so permaculture, GREAT!

I started my own garden after watching this channel, planting all types of fruit trees that i could think of several years back, and now reaping the bountiful result. You're doing good work, john. Namaste.

It's funny how fracking is supposed to be safe and it uses radioactive chemicals like radium 226, radium 228, uranium and thorium. But the rain water is treated and it's unsafe. Maybe the Department of Health knows exactly what is being spread through persistent contrails or geo-engineering in the sky and it can't be filtered out? It might be something nobody knows to test for. If they say the treated rain water is unsafe while fracking is radioactive but safe. The rainwater must be horrible. Fukushima fallout? Maybe they could test it for radioactivity.

I am a resident of Mesa AZ. I have eight raised gardens in my back yard. Seven of those gardens are dedicated to annuals. The only perennial garden I have is my five year old herb garden. I would like to add more perennials to my back yard. Asparagus, Rhubarb, and Strawberries are on my list. Strawberries concern me. U of A says strawberries are not recommended for our SW desert. What is your experience with strawberries and what variety do you recommend?
