Very interesting but please note that the island is Sao Miguel and not Pico, as described above.

Ming does a nice job of making no mention of being mistaken as Japanese. In fact, he was so ready for it that he was able to reply in Japanese so as to cause no embarrassment to the host. Very classy.

To whomever posted this can you please correct the content to show that Chef Ming is on the Island of Sao Miquel and not on the Island of Pico. Sao Miquel is the only place in Europe that has two tea plantations. I too was born drinking tea, as I come from Sao Miquel.
