Our last night with the students, we took a street food tour with UnTour Shanghai--an amazing company, and no I'm not getting paid to say this. Our guides, Mitch and Dan, were so knowledgable and friendly. We felt as if we had met up with friends who lived in Shanghai who just happened to be taking us to all their favorite local street food vendors in the night markets of Shanghai. And the food. THE FOOD. It's not an exaggeration to say this was some of the best food I've ever eaten. Crawfish, oysters, hand-pulled noodles, fried rice noodles, and much, much more. If you are in Shanghai, you have to go on an UnTour. If I had a single day in Shanghai, I would make this my top priority. Website: http://untourshanghai.com/ My co-leader Michelle and I have spent more than a year planning this study abroad program to China, and I cannot believe it has now come to a close. What an adventure. (Closed Captioned) The Backdrop: We spent May-July in China (eight weeks in total). For the first month, I co-led a study abroad trip that brought sixteen college students to the Nanjing University of Science and Technology to study beginning Chinese. I also co-taught a Travel Writing class. As part of that trip, we went to Beijing, Nanjing, Suzhou, Shanghai, Yellow Mountain, and Slender West Lake. Once the students left for home, my husband Jesse and I traveled around China for a few more weeks. Our travels brought us to Xi'An, Chengdu, Leshan, Jiuzhaigou, Yangshuo, and Hong Kong. It was a life-changing adventure! Connect with me! Twitter: https://twitter.com/Erin_Travels Blog: http://erinstravels.com Pinterest: http://www.pinterest.com/erin_travels
