Rice production in Bangladesh is a crucial part of the national economy. The dominant food crop of Bangladesh is rice, accounting for about 75% of agricultural land use. Bangladesh was the fourth largest rice producer in the world. It is currently the world's sixth-largest producer. The largest harvest is aman, occurring in November and December and accounting for more than half of annual production. The second harvest is aus. Rice for the aus harvest is sown in March or April. Generally three types of rice found in Bangladesh: Aus, Aman, Boro. There are three types of Amon like: Ropa Aman, Bona Aman, Baua Aman. Usually puffed rice, popcorn, rice flour, calabhaja, cimre from rice.
