I'm sure you figured it out by now, but I can explain the rice liquor process making to ya: they ferment the rice with a yeast powder for a few days til it smells like fermented rice, then it get put into a pot with a lot of water and boiled in a large pot, on top of that pot sits another pot that has a collection spigot out the side. The boiling water/fermented rice steams and hits the bottom of the top pot and the steam collected on the bottom of the top of the top pot (which is in a wok type shape, which collects the steam into the center of the top of the top pot, which then drips to the collection spigot in the center and out the side into the collection bottle and that's how u get the end product. Hope that helps. Lol. My parents used to make that kinda rice liquor, I've seen it done many times. In fact, lots of hmong people in the USA still make it today.

Hello Jay, just loved your video of your trip to SaPa, Vietnam. I served in Vietnam in 1966/67 and have returned 5 times since, with my wife. I have always had this underlying feeling that North Vietnam was enemy territory and have not visited there yet; but I will if I live long enough. We just love Vietnam and the people, especially the hill people (Montanards) . We have made several friends in Nha Trang and HoiAn. I became aware of your video's when I watched your 1911 build. You have given me the confidence to attempt to build a 1911 Builders kit; it is progressing nicely. Keep up the good work. Thanks for your super quality videos.
