It is a country of contrasts, from great subtropical beaches to bitterly cold winter regions in the north. The east may have fewer people, but its lovely cities are among the most popular places to visit in Russia and can hold their own against the west. Russia is steeped in history everywhere a traveler goes, from vicious battles to great classical music and literature. And almost everywhere visitors can see examples of magnificent art, not only in museums but also in its churches. 10. Yekaterinburg 9. Sochi 8. Veliky Novgorod 7. Vladivostok 6. Nizhny Novgorod 5. Is that a statue of a missile?! What the heck?!
-
i want to visit russia so bad
-
I live in St.Peter, I love here, but yes, I agree, Moscow is more beautiful
-
There are some mistakes. First - Nizhniy Novgorod was not devastated by bolsheviks but it was ruined by german bombers. Second - Kazan kremlin has not been destroyed, it was taken by the russian army. Third - i don't like how you say it - "Named after a man killed defending Kazan" like russians only kill everybody. "Named after a defender of Kazan" - this will be proper.

Rurik was not Scandinavian Prince, a Russian Prince is the Baltic Slavs, the coat of arms of Rurik and Russian princes - Slavic symbol - a dive Falcon. It is still the coat of arms of Staraya Ladoga. In Scandinavia this symbol is the Raven! Rerik или Rarog in translation from the old Slavic - Falcon, so called the eldest son in the family the Slavic peoples! The Isle of Roslagen, which the Scandinavians considered the birthplace of the Russian Prince Rurik in those days was under water! It has long scientists have found! Here without comment! The Norman theory of the origin of Russia - a lie that is not supported by the facts! Rurik came to Staraya Ladoga - the first capital of Russia from the island of Ruyan (now the German Rügen, Slavs lived there), and only later because of the constant raids of the Vikings on the trade fortress of Ladoga he moved the capital of Rus in Novgorod. It's amazing how the Norman theory of the origin of Russia, written by the Germans in favor of the Swedish king, kills the truth. If Rurik was a Norseman, he would bring us their language, their custom, tradition, but in Russia, not even their trace and hint, even Scandinavian words and no one understands Swedish.... Because Russian Prince Rurik was from the Baltic, from the North of Germany, the Slavs lived there before the arrival of the Germanic tribes! It is now a fact! Stop saying stupid biased theory. It was created by German academics at the Russian Academy of Sciences under Catherine the great, who was German and invited the Germans to the Academy. They destroyed the Russian Chronicles and rewrote the history of Russia or have interpreted them in favor of the Norman theory! For this reason resented another Russian scientist Lomonosov! It is best to consider this question and look at the island of Rügen - the temple of the pagan Slavs, there are still present Slavic names of the settlements. A tribe of Vikings - the Rus - the Baltic Slavs ( Slavyane)!
