Rescued today - life begins for Snow and five other bears

Today Animals Asia rescued six bears from a bile farm in Vietnam. Imagine what a bile farm does to a bear. Bile extractions damage their internal organs. Cages mean they cannot exercise. They lose mobility. Their claws don't wear down and the grow into their paws instead. This pain is excruciating and it grows year after year. Teeth rot due to bad diet. They break due to bar biting. Arguably, the mental damage caused is worst of all. This is Snow. An initial health check suggests he suffers from all of the above. He has also lost his tongue – presumably bitten off in a fight with another desperate bear. Today his cage was opened. Those claws were cut. He was given painkillers. He is now headed "home" to our sanctuary where he will be mended and he will be loved. For Snow, Winter, Poe, Bi Xanh, Cranberry and Ivy, their lives start today. We can't give back what was taken from them but we can stop the hurt and will do everything we can to make them happy. Most importantly - no one will ever be able to hurt them again.
