Radiation monitor Premium Organic Matcha Green Tea Uji Kyoto Japan import 3-17-2015 | Organic Slant
Another test of Match Green Tea on the 4 year anniversary of the Fukushima meltdowns. If Camellia sinensis does NOT naturally contain elevated levels of radiation, then where is it coming from. The radiation has to be coming from either the land in fertilizer, or from the sky in fallout. Japan is still incinerating debris from the disaster, and the reactors are still leaking, so it doesn't surprise me that radiation continues to be present and increase in the products coming out of Japan.

Absolutely useless test. Reveals nothing about actual contaminants in the tea and does not compare readings to a control.

Sorry if I got it wrong, but at 2:44 you measured 5400 of total counts per 100 minutes. That gives 54 cpm, less than 1 Bq. The number is very small. Are you sure you are using the RA Inspector correctly?

Have you ever email Yuuki-Cha ? If so, did they respond to your emails ? I've been trying to reach them through email, but to no avail.

The Radiation Network website states that anywhere from 5 to 60 CPM is normal background radiation and CPM alerts are usually triggered at 100. On the Modern Survival blog, it states that it would take 25937 days of constant (24x7) 100 CPM exposure to receive enough radiation to cause the earliest onset of radiation sickness. 25937 days is 71 years. Your readings seemed to show readings well below that. On the other hand, if you happen to be on an aeroplane at around 35000 feet, you might be getting around 280 CPM.
