R,T&D Ella, Sri Lanka 2013

Ella is a beautiful town on the southern edge of Sri Lanka's Hill Country. It's situated in the middle of beautiful countryside with a mild climate perfect for walking through the valleys and up to Little Adam's Peak, along the railway tracks to the famous arched railway bridge and the tea plantations. We stayed at The View Hotel, with incredible sweeping views and just a quick stroll into the township. Worth the visit is the spectacular Rawana Ella Falls, only 5km away on the road through Ella Gap. A trip to the countryside should include lunch at the 98 Acres Resort and Spa with its incredible views, service and quality of food. We loved Ella and its friendly people.
