These people aren't giving the bird some space I wonder if they've ever heard of BIRD SPACE YOU *****

Did you say the seeds you grow for them is barley? I really like that idea.
-
way too overcrowded
-
Overcrowded. If you wan2 raise quail, don't do it where there are this many per enclosure. Otherwise, how is it completely different from factory farming?

These quail are way overcrowded. It should be 1 coturnix every 1 foot of floor space; definitely less quail if possible. Also it should be one male every 4-7 hens, depending on their temperament. You don't even need a male to produce eggs, you could have one or two breeding pens just to keep your populations up, rather than put males in every pen.
In your video, I also see your quail's feathers are dull & brittle, lacking an adequate diet & likely due to over-mating & stress from over-crowding. When the body is stressed its ability to absorb nutrients is reduced, so your money/time in feeding them nutritious foods is wasted.
If you're going to use a deep litter method in some of your pens, please have it turned daily so that it doesn't settle into a slab of feces & disease. Toss seeds in the litter to encourage them to turn it themselves.
If you want to increase egg production, incorporate breeding for temperament. The kinder, less startling birds are the ones you want to keep as your breeding stock. The calmer they are, the more steadily they will give you eggs. That way you don't need to over-crowd, and are less likely to have fighting or disease issues.
If you want more nutritious eggs, put the quail in tractors on the ground & move them daily. Let them eat the bugs they were meant to eat. This will make the yolks darker & more flavourful.
Hoping this advice will help. -
