Purple Tea Gains Popularity Among Farmers In Meru County

Controversy continues to surround the sale and marketing of purple tea, a high-yielding, potent clone. A section of farmers in Meru county had uprooted their green tea in favour of the purple clone after being promised high returns, citing frustration by the Kenya Tea Development Agency.
