Psychedelic Science: Magic Mushrooms
Magic mushrooms have been used ritually by the native people of Mesoamerica for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. In the 1950s, R. Gordon Wasson and his wife traveled to Oaxaca, Mexico and participated in a mushroom ritual. That experience led to a 1957 Life magazine article titled "Seeking the Magic Mushroom." The following year, the Swiss scientist Albert Hofman, who had been the first to synthesize LSD in 1938, identified psilocybin and psilocin as the active compounds in magic mushrooms. In 1960, Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert founded the Harvard Psilocybin Project to study the effects of psilocybin on humans. Harvard University famously fired Leary and Alpert in 1963. Serious study of magic mushrooms essentially ended when the compounds psilocybin and psylocin were listed as Schedule I drugs in 1971. However, people around the world have used magic mushrooms with the goals of expanding consciousness and achieving spiritual growth ever since it was popularized by the hippies in the the 1960s. Despite its illegal status, researchers have once again started studying the effects of psilocybin on humans. The results so far have been intriguing. ReasonTV caught up with Roland Griffiths of Johns Hopkins University and Robin Carhart-Harris of Imperial College London at the Psychedelic Science 2013 conference in Oakland, CA to learn what's happening at the cutting edge of psilocybin research. Approximately 5 minutes. Produced by Paul Feine and Alex Manning. Legalize it simply because it's not our job to tell others what they can and can't do if it doesn't harm anyone else.
Naturally occuring plants and funghi. -
I live in a constant state of pain. When I take mushrooms there are times when my pain goes away to the point where I have NONE! This is nothing short of a GOD DAMN MIRACLE!
-
You should warn people about the stroboscopic effect!
-
I've always been fascinated by psychedelics but I've never had the chance to try anything as such.
-
so the next time you play Mario don't eat the mushrooms

McKenna was right, Its only illegal because of the desire to control information. The story of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden is the story of the first drug bust.

I know it's illegal, in America, for Jews to make eating pork criminal.
I know it's illegal, in America, for Hindus to make eating beef criminal.
This would be a direct violation of the separation of church and state.
Somehow, we have plant based dietary regulations in law.
Clearly, forced dietary regulations are religious issues. So how do you pass illegal dietary restriction laws?
1. Don't associate the dietary ideals your forcing on people with religion.
2. Call the plants 'drugs' so it's no longer considered a dietary issue.
If anyone one was wondering, that is how you pass illegal laws in America.
Another example-
It is illegal for government to own and control everyone's property. How do you get around this?
1. Instead of charging rent for land, you collect "property taxes".
2. Require "building permits" when people want to build on the land, rather than telling them they need permission from the land lord.
Using, abusing, and manipulating laws to obtain specific agendas that are contrary to the purpose of the law's creation is nothing new. These are people who are over 2000 years behind the times in terms of philosophical maturity.
There's good news. These laws are illegal because they have violated your first amendment rights. It is your right to practice your religion, including consumption rights and rituals. It is a violation of the first amendment for the Federal Goverment to respect or oppress any church. The most popular religion in America recognizes every individual's sovereign right to their own church. "My body is my temple."
You too, be you an Antheist, a Shaman, or an individual with your own unnamed beliefs have the right to claim your body as your temple, your church.
The more people that stand together to defend the individual religious civil rights of all people, the sooner this oppression can end. Atheists, Christians, Pagans, ALL need to stand together against Government forcing their dietary beliefs on the people.
There is no law that requires lawmakers to prove their legislation is scientifically valid.
The first amendment is where it's at. If you're Atheist, don't waive your rights just because you have no god. Stand with the good Christians of Texas that are fighting for their religious right to use Cannabis. Stand with Shamans and Pagans for their right to eat whatever plants they believe in consuming. Christians, do no stand idly by while other religions are oppressed, it's yours too! Cannabis is yours!
Atheists, you have the first amendment right to claim your body as your temple and to practice the beliefs you obtained from scientific publication! Do not waive this right by separating yourself from religion!
Everyone stand together and say "My body is my temple, my church." Do not budge, don't recognize dietary restriction laws as legal. They are illegal laws! Don't call them anything else. -
I just ingested 3g. wish me luck!

Magic mushrooms are all fine and dandy but what the psychedelic gurus never tell you is how much you will throw up from larger doses. Like Jesus Christ, the nausea can be unbearable to the point were you make yourself throw up just to end it. Every time i take more than two grams my insides just burn and die. Horrible, but then again i still think the trips were worth it. Heed my words, raw and dried shrooms give you the most nausea, then comes tea or mixed into food, and the best for your stomach are dutch shroom truffles (i heard, the others i tested myself).

euphoric and ecstatic? anyone who descrulibes a mushroom experience as such clearly did not eat enough. on the other hand if they say they thought they were gonna die or they were dead. they could see they're family visiting them in an insane asylum. they thought they would remain toasted for the rest of they're life and never be sane again? they are enough.
