PSA on bear farming with Jackie Chan (Mandarin)
Actor Jackie Chan has teamed up with the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) to produce 30-second television public service announcements (PSAs) to spread awareness of bear bile farming. At least 12,000 bears are kept on bear farms in China, Korea and Vietnam, where they are held in cages about the size of a telephone booth placed on its side in order to extract their bile. Note: This film was originally produced prior to June 2014, when we were known as the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA). We are now World Animal Protection.
