PROJECT DESCRIPTION New Hope is a children's home that caters to approx 150 children who come from poor surrounding villages to attend schools in Sanggau. New Hope provides a religious environment for children to stay and be cared for and developed. Children come to New Hope because of poverty, lack of education in their rural villages or because they are orphaned and cannot be cared for in their villages.Currently run by friends William and Marlinde Taminga. NEED 1. New Hope would like to start its food sustainability programme through rearing goats and other livestocks together with a vegetation farm. This would also allow them to cut their purchasing cost. (Not cheap when u have 150 children on site plus volunteers). 2. For the moment, A Goat Shelter has been built hence we are looking to raise funds to start off with our Phase 1, food sustainability programme starting with 8 goats.
