This video from our recent transatlantic port call in Ponta Delgada features the central part of the island of Sao Miguel, Azores including the thermal springs of the Furnas Valley and the Tea Plantation at Gorreana. The local stew, Cozido das Furnas, is cooked by geo-thermal methods at the hot springs near the village of Furnas. We watched as the stew containing different types of meat and root vegetables was being un-earthed at the hot springs and then proceeded to restaurant O Miroma to give it a try.
