Pig welfare: A visit from China

A delegation of Chinese pig producers and Government officials recently visited Grayingham Grange Farm in Lincolnshire as part of a tour to see good animal welfare practice. The visit was arranged by World Animal Protection in order to demonstrate some of the modern best practices in pig welfare in the hope that the visitors would take some of the techniques back home and implement them in their businesses. In particular the Chinese visitors were keen to see the free farrowing system and biosecurity measures in place.
