San Jose’s Vietnamese enclave began when refugees fled after the fall of Saigon in 1975; in the ensuing decades, it has grown to a thriving community over 180,000 strong. Old traditions mingle with modern conveniences in this Silicon Valley tech center, where family businesses — many with several generations working alongside each other — serve up dishes from across the Vietnamese peninsula. I haven't been home in 11 months, but I was born and raised in San Jose, CA. Seeing this was immensely touching - I knew almost all of the locations and even the streets in the video. Really got me homesick and I can't wait until I fly back.

I'm Korean but my brother in law is Vietnamese and I used to work in the tech manufacturing industry.
Vietnamese food is my #2 favorite. sorry...kimchi wins.
I miss home cooked Vietnamese food. Sautéed veggies with garlic and fish sauce and dried shrimp...bitter melon soup...egg and pork belly in caramelized soy sauce... -
