Philippine Open Market - Buying Chicken and Pork (Baboy)
I always enjoy the trips to the market. The people are always so smiling and so friendly. We go to this same woman all the time she is extremely friendly and started yelling at us 50 meters away. Many of the people in the markets have become like friends and ask Myra where I am when I stay home. We know this woman VERY well. I had just said, prior to the video start, WOW pig head and she responded it was Baboy (pig). I then started kidding about her calling my baboy. It was a joke, she did not do it. Then I kept up picking on her so when I left she said by-by baboy. She would never insult me. It was 100% in fun. A lot of viewers freak about the markets. It is the way of life here and although not as clean as American meat markets, it really isn't important. We always cook meat thoroughly and any cooties that might have been, or gotten on the meat are cooked and add to the flavor. I have blog http://Jacknorthrup.com/blog . It has some pictures to complement many of the videos, sometimes extended articles and some videos not publicly released on YouTube. If you enjoy our YouTube Channel I am quite sure you will enjoy the blog. Thank You and Stop on by and say Hello. Jack and Myra My retirement in the Philippines began in Sept 6, 2012. I arrived here with a backpack, my computer, and drawing/art material to write, play and make videos. This Vlog of life here is for my memories and show my friends and family back in the USA what it is like living in the Philippines. Jack Northrup

Isn't it COOL to go to an open air market, they're very similar to the ones over here, pig heads and all, lol!! My American aunt when she came here on vacation many years ago, hated them but, her mother, being raised on a farm in Texas loved them very much! Uprated Jack, greetings to Myra and you my buddy!
