Man invented agriculture out of greed, not need. You think man somehow survived 2 million odd years without agriculture by dumb luck? Also, hunter gatherers were nomadic in the past, and needed very little to "portable". Aboriginals were 99% nomadic and there are only one or two records of them using any kind of vague agricultural practice. There is no such thing as "Industrial Permaculture". Permaculture is a lifestyle choice of many facets, with food being just one of them. Broad scale farming of any kind is not going to fix the underlying problem of over population.

Admittedly this guy rambles. But this is leading edge industrial permaculture. You would be hard pressed to find someone who is doing a better job of working toward industrial permaculture. He is not recommending monoculture; He has several different crops that are not discussed much here ( chestnut, hickory ). These crops can be planted in rows alternating with legume trees and mixed with beneficials. Some of his other videos talk about animal grazing between rows. But the information is first rate if you can just bear through the rambling.

This guy has no idea about the Depopulation Agenda already in effect and the Declining Fertility Rate…. 10 minutes in and NO PERMACULTURE… 11 minutes in and He's talking Global FcKing Warming…

Some good thoughts and ideas here, but not permacultue. This is a step in the right direction, but lacks diversity, companion planting, incorporation of animals, etc. Beyond that, the whole world can't just grow hazelnuts. This is a solution for a very small portion of the farmers. If multiple types of food trees are grown together, hazelnuts being some of them, other nuts, fruit trees, legume trees, under story crops, herbs, ground covers, vines, chickens, ducks, lievstock, water management, etc. then you have something closer to permaculture.
-
This is still monoculture!

Which variety of Hazelnut bush are you speaking about? I am looking for one that can survive the Eastern Filbert Blight.

i wasn't put off by the concern of profitability, because planning is smart and preparing your land to support the plants, animals, and people that are there so that they and we are all satisfied , sustainably. Personally, i would have swales next to their trees (on contour) and animals eating that grass. Then id throw in 6 other layers of plants and diversify those trees more... and i would pay very special close attention to growing the best micro-organisms. This guy is also great because he saw things years ago that common people still dont see. So no matter what anyone says hes a trail blazer and he already has his reward. I appreciated learning about the polyculture guild and can appreciate that he included beans and other evolved crops as necessary for the guild too... The part that put me off was the part about those harvesters working so well, the last thing that WE need is another monoculture. He only said that to interest "investors". Selling trees are you?

Your greed for commercial revenue, by promoting excessive consumerism, makes your presentation inconsistent with the values of permaculture and resource preservation. And, your heideous ethnocentric AmeriKKKan perspective made me lose interest in your message.

It's the SUN casing GW. NOT people or anything we do.
-
A lot of bad history and 'Population Bomb' type alarmism. It is extremely arrogant to ask: how are WE going to feed them all? That is a question corporations ask, because they want to make a profit out of it.

11:11 I think the Virgin Islands is where aquaculture was first researched (well, according to modern times, we all know primitive people had fish farms.)
-
12:25 From what I heard, one area in India, had a farmer committing suicide every 30 minutes, for a decade, when cotton demand in China started going down. So the PeaceCore was doing this to communities? Switching them to "cash crops"? Destroying the food forests? That was so corrupt of them.
-
I believe that the quality of population is more an issue than the quantity. The planet could easily habituate with double the population, but not in our current state of being. When I think of farms, I see food forests, the brainwashing never worked on me, and I'm actually dumbfounded into retardation wondering how it worked on the majority of people.

I don't believe that we are horrible at change, I think we might be afraid to change and that we are not in the habit of change. If we were horible at changing we would not be using computers, and sending metal capsules in space and along the surface of the earth.
