The ship could be the Philadelphia. Earlier story in the same issue shows Roosevelt leaving South Carolina on the Philadelphia for a holiday - this footage could relate to same. Note: this story could belong to a different issue. Amendment May 2011: The ship in the clip is DD-358, the USS McDougal. She escorted President Roosevelt who travelled in CA-37, the USS Tuscaloosa, but was apparently transfered to the smaller ship for his landing at NAS Pensacola. The large ship in the background appears to be the Tuscaloosa. Pensacola is in the State of Florida, not Alabama. The final frames of the clip are definitely of Mr Roosevelt at NAS Pensacola.
