Park Hyatt Tokyo: http://bit.ly/192IfmQ Guests took part in an overnight excursion to Nara Prefecture where they were immersed in the culinary culture of this region renowned for its tea fields. The first day involved sampling delicacies including green tea flavoured buck-wheat noodles for lunch, and then later that afternoon traditional Japanese sweets drizzled with green-tea-accented syrup. A sumptuous spread of local Nara cuisine was again on offer for dinner at the restaurant Kyotomi. Following a night in traditional Japanese style accommodations at Kidera No Ie, guests then moved to The Inokura Tea Farm, purveyor of famed Yamato Cha tea to Park Hyatt Tokyo, for an interactive afternoon of tea-picking, pouring and degustation, led by the Inokura estate lord and Tea Master himself, Mr. Inokura. Guests learned about the intricate process of tea making, brewing and pairing. In August guests gathered again at Park Hyatt Tokyo to enjoy different types of tea made from the leaves they picked, paired with sweets at Private Dining Room.
